Pure silk　They are made from vintage kimonos.

This is a total shibori (tie-dyeing) pattern of flowers and butterflies. Shibori is a process of dyeing the fabric with threads in a squeezing habit, which gives the fabric an uneven surface and a unique texture. It is said that 200,000 shibori are used to make one kimono, and the production time is said to be several months. The butterfly and flower patterns in subdued colors create a very gentle atmosphere.



How to care for it

Washing can be done at home. Turn it inside out and lightly press-wash it in water with baking soda. Rinse lightly, drain and hang dry in the shade. If wrinkles are a concern, iron the fabric by placing a cloth over it from the reverse side while it is still fresh, then hang dry. If using a washing machine, fold the garment neatly and put it in a net, then wash it on the fashionable clothes washing course or on low water flow. Immediately after washing, hang dry in the shade.



The kimono is untied and washed by hand one by one. Since the kimono has been run through water once, it will not shrink, but there is a possibility of color fading, so please hand-wash each item individually and gently.

This item is made from a vintage kimono. Some smells may remain and some fabrics may not be perfect, but we remake them using the cleanest parts as much as possible. We appreciate your understanding.

正絹　ビンテージ着物から作っています。

総絞りの花と蝶の柄です。
絞りとは、生地を糸で絞り癖付けをした状態で染めていくもので、布に凸凹がつき、独特の風合いができるものです。
着物１着の絞りは２０万個とも言われ、作る期間は数か月とも言われています。
落ち着いた色合いに蝶と花の柄はとても優しい雰囲気を醸し出しています。

お手入れの仕方

洗濯はご家庭でも可能です。
裏返しにして、重曹を入れた水で軽く押し洗いしてください。
軽くすすいで水を切り陰干しします。
シワが気になる場合は、生乾きのうちに裏側から布を当ててアイロンをかけてから干してください。
洗濯機を使う場合は、きれいにたたんでネットに入れ、おしゃれ着洗いコースか弱水流で洗います。
洗濯後はすぐに陰干ししてください。



着物をほどき、１点ずつ手洗いしています。
１度水に通しているので縮むことはないと思いますが、色落ちの可能性があるので
１点ずつ単品で優しく手洗いしてください。

ビンテージの着物を使って作っています。多少の匂いが残っていたり生地が完璧でないところもありますが、なるべくきれいなところを使ってリメイクしています。
