This is a one-of-a-kind item made from a vintage silk kimono.

Trousers with a generous inseam are called monpe in Japan. These pants were popular in the old days when people wore kimonos, and the hem of a long kimono could be placed inside the pants. They are designed to be very easy to move around in, with plenty of room around the waist.

The generous inseam gusset allows for easy movement and ease of wear. The silk is firm and thick.

Care Instructions

Can be washed at home. Turn the garment inside out and lightly press-wash it in water with baking soda. Rinse lightly, drain and hang dry in the shade. If you are worried about wrinkles, iron the cloth from the reverse side while it is still fresh and dry. If using a washing machine, fold the garment neatly and put it in a net, then wash it on the fashionable clothes washing course or on low water flow. Immediately after washing, hang dry in the shade.



The kimono is untied and washed by hand one by one. Since it has been put through water once, it will not shrink, but there is a possibility of color fading, so please hand-wash each item separately and gently.

This is an upcycled item. We have carefully remade the item, making use of the pattern, but please understand that it is not a new fabric.

シルクのビンテージ着物から作っている１点ものです。

股下にたっぷりと余裕のあるズボンのことを日本ではモンペと呼んでいます。
昔、着物を着ていた時代に流行ったズボンで、長い着物の裾をズボンの中に入れられるようになっています。
腰回りに余裕があってとても動きやすいデザインになっています。
しっかりした厚手のシルクです。

お手入れの仕方

洗濯はご家庭でも可能です。
裏返しにして、重曹を入れた水で軽く押し洗いしてください。
軽くすすいで水を切り陰干しします。
シワが気になる場合は、生乾きのうちに裏側から布を当ててアイロンをかけてから干してください。
洗濯機を使う場合は、きれいにたたんでネットに入れ、おしゃれ着洗いコースか弱水流で洗います。
洗濯後はすぐに陰干ししてください。



着物をほどき、１点ずつ手洗いしています。
１度水に通しているので縮むことはないと思いますが、色落ちの可能性があるので
１点ずつ単品で優しく手洗いしてください。
